Another beauty favourite!

Having long hair can be really hard work, it damages easier, you tend to have more split ends and in my case, the longer my hair gets the less volume it has. (And it's dead straight, therefore, even less volume)

I've been trying loads of different products and tricks to get more volume in my hair, they all have had reasonably good results but Toni and Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray has been incredible for my hair! Unlike other sea salt sprays it is not very sticky and doesn't leave your hair feeling brittle. I just pray it on evenly when my hair is wet and either make one bun or two. I then use the hair drier for a little while and leave my hair in a bun to dry. This gives you those beachy waves even when you live in the city! I love this product because it adds tons of volume and makes your hair very easy to style, great bonus! Oh, and before I forget, another bonus is the price. It's affordable and available at almost any store that sells these types of products.

Bye for now! :)

This is me.

In todays post I thought I should show you guys what I look like. I also just wanted to show off the gorgeous dress I wore for my matric dance ( also known as prom ). I fell in love with the beads and sequences on this dress and the colour, WOW! When I tried it on I was blown away by how perfectly it fitted me and I knew that it was the right one! This dress is a Mac Duggal once off, so I was lucky enough not to worry about someone having the same dress as me and my makeup was done by a freelance MAC makeup artist. It seriously was a night to remember!

I hope you guys like the dress, comment and tell me about your matric dance/prom dress and how the night you had!

As you can see I am blonde and have green eyes, I am quite an average height and am extremely pale. I did recently do an ombre and I have noticed that it has added some colour to my face, which I love of course! I might put up a photo of how it turned out.

(I do realise how awkward my arms and hands look in these photos but try to ignore that please)

How can you not love this colour?? And the detail in this is just amazing! The photo on the right is of my dates suit, which I must say was on point.

I hope you guys like the dress as much as I do AND now you know what I look like. The girl behind the blog!

Bye for now :)

Miley Cyrus at the VMA's

Not only did Miley look incredibly beautiful at the VMA's, she did such an amazing thing as well. I know many people don't like her after she cut off her signature bun, there's no denying that she will always have such a kind heart.

Miley's date for the VMA's 2014 was a homeless boy, his name is Jesse. When Miley got called up to  accept her award for Music Video of the Year, she asked him to go up and receive it on behalf of her. I love that he had a speech prepared to promote 'My Friend's Place', this organisation helps keep the youth off the streets and help shelter them. I have so much respect for Miley and that she doesn't let anyone change who she is. She's a strong woman with a huge heart. You go girl!

This is quite a random post but I really love what she did! She really is a champion to all the people at 'My Friend's Place' and thats exactly what they need!

Bye again! :)

Birthday Wish list:

So my birthday is coming up ( like in 2 months, but whatever!) and I've really been thinking what I would ask for for my birthday because I never know what to say? This year I decided to put some time into actually thinking what I'd like and I think I've decided! It is between these two:

1. Zoeva ROSE GOLDEN luxury brush set. I've read so many good things about Zoeva but haven't ever used any of their products and I absolutely love the look of this set and I've seen Zoella use it and thought I should look into getting one of these sets.

2. The Sigma Essentials brush kit. I also really love how sigma brushes look and have also heard amazing things about them. I've seen tones of YouTubers that use Sigma and they love them. Ido have a few random brushes that I've collected over the years but I'd love to have a complete set of better quality brushes.

I'd love to get your opinions on these products and which one would be the best choice, you guys would be helping me big time! If you guys have any other ideas on what I should consider please let me know too.

Bye for now! :)

Something New.

Today I decided to treat myself. It was a bit of a splurge, but every once in a while can't be bad! I've been in need of new perfume and this time I looked for something a bit different, a new fragrance and found one that I absolutely love! The Versace Bright Crystal Absolu is incredible. It has a sweet floral smell but is not overbearing, I think this is perfect for entering Spring. Besides the refreshing smell, the package design sealed the deal for me!

I also picked up the new September issue of Elle magazine (SA) just to stay on top of the trends for this season! Let me know which trend you're loving at the moment.

Bye for now lovelies!

My 5 must-have items for spring/summer time:

Here in South Africa we are getting closer and closer to spring, and if I do say so myself, it is about time! Don't get me wrong, winter is great for hot chocolate with those mini marshmallows and cuddling by the fire.. but nothing beats the new blossoms of spring, everything is coming back to life.

Here are 5 must-haves for spring and summer.

1. Modern florals. I personally love this trend at the moment and can definitely say that I do incorporate them where I can. This looks great when paired with a plain pants as too many patterns could become chaotic! Try something like this floral top from Forever 21:

2. Maxi skirt and crop top. This is perfect for springs light breezes and days spent out and about. I love this combo for the traditional stages of winter and spring. Try a bright skirt with a more fitted, plain crop top for a similar look:

(You can even incorporate the florals again!)

3. Self tan! This is perfect for coming coming out of winter, and for me it is definitely needed. I struggle to get a tan naturally, so this is really useful for me but also to even out your skin tone. Try Tropitone Sunless Bronze self tan lotion or aerosol spray, I personally love this one as it drys in seconds and doesn't go orange.

4. I absolutely love D'orsay flats! They come in nearly every colour as well as two tones, they are super comfortable and simply look amazing with any outfit.

5. Last but not least and definitely my favourite trend for festivals and concerts, are kimonos. Throw this over denim shorts and a crop and you're ready to go! I'm in love with this patterned kimonos:

I'd love to know what your must-haves for this spring are, so let me know! :)

2 of my favourite beauty products at the moment!

I can't go a day without using these two things and I thought I'd do a short review on them and why I like them so much! :)

1. L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer.

It applies very easily and leaves my skin feeling super moisturised and smooth, this is really important for me as I tend to have quite dry skin. It does have a pearly shin to it which gives your a really healthy glow! If my skin is looking good on a particular day I will only apply this and no foundation! (maybe a bit of concealer!) It also helps a lot when applying foundation and makes it look flawless. It is amazing, I love it!

2. Maybelline New York lipstick in 380 Sweet Bordeaux.

This is my all time favourite colour lipstick! I have a really fair skin tone, so the brighter reds look a little too harsh on me and i always struggled to find the right red. When I saw this colour I instantly fell in love. This lipstick applies very smoothly but after a while it does dry your lips a little but I find that I don't need to reapply it a lot throughout the day as the colour last quite long! (which is great)

If any of you guys have used these products, let me know what you think of them! :)

Bye for now!

Just a little about me!

Hi! My name is Tarryn, I am 17 years old and from South Africa. I love fashion, anything beauty related & helping other people.

Something about me:
Recently I've been struggling more and more with my anxieties about my future and all the stress of my final school year. I thought this would be a really helpful way to relief some of that stress and maybe helping some of you on how to deal with having social anxiety or anxiety of any kind. I know how miserable it is not to have friends or family to talk to about these things as they don't always understand. I have a problem getting anxiety over things that seem very silly and i would feel almost embarrassed because it never seemed like anyone else worried about these thing, now I know that I'm not the only one feeling like this which it super comforting!

I hope you guys will like my blog and I'll try make it as entertaining and fun as possible! I'm super excited to be doing this, I've wanted to for a long time but was never sure where to actually start! I hope anyone who finds my blog will like it and I'd appreciate any tips you guys have on how to make my blog better ( but just remember I'm still a beginner to all of this! ).

Bye for now :)
